Julian Morris

Julian Morris is a downtempo producer from Constanta,Ro, making music since 1998. His aliases are: Julian M as a deep/tech house dj, Markus Aeon as a drum'n'bass dj and Noverbia as an experimental/ambient producer. Marcus Marius Julian a.k.a. Julian M was born on the Coast of The Black Sea on September 7th, 1984. He was first exposed to electronic music around 1990, when he found his father's recordings on cassettes and vinyl records, mostly synth-rock from the 70's , and electro-pop from the 80's. He instantly fell in love with the warm, electrifying sound of bands such as Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Duran Duran, Kajagoogoo, Talk Talk, and Gary Numan. Around '93-'94, he started experiencing the music and lifestyle of rave culture, which was developing in Western Europe at the time, starting with Prodigy, followed by Scooter, Dune, Technohead. Soon he starts a pirate radio station first named Maxx, and then changed to Future fm, in the hope of better promoting electronic music. After loving trance music for a while, he discovers the British underground movement focused on big beat and drum 'n' bass. In 1998, starts composing music, discovering the potential of computer software, which was constantly evolving at the time. He spent the year 1998 learning to mix records spending most of his time in clubs around Constanta. This was only his first step to truly understanding the art of mixing music, and with time, he managed to become a resident dj in clubs such as: Ibiza Summer Groove, Club Oxxo, The Note Beach Club, all located in Constanta. He also started to mix around the country, in Sibiu, Cluj, Bucharest, and Satu Mare. As a producer, he began composing and remixing styles ranging from trance to trip-hop, and drum 'n' bass. A moment of good luck has taken him to the Irish Pub in Constanta, where he found exactly what he wanted: the chance to promote a fusion of electronic and jazz music, deep and funky, but mainly based on ambient influences,where he has been a resident dj for 5 years, then mixing in places like Kristal Summer Club and Tan-Tan Beach Club. As a producer, he completely focused on downbeats, taking care of many projects consecutively, that allowed him to gracefully blend classical and alternative music. Julian plays drums and guitar. Sometimes he fools around singing, or playing violin. Signing with Glorybox Records Italy in 2006,Julian has released 3 EPs digitally,on Juno and Beatport. Also his tracks appeared on some compilations ,and made a remix for Infectator Com,which appeared on their album.
