Kat Vinter

Kat Vinter is the accumulated efforts of an Australian songstress, a Berlin producer, a Norwegian songwriter and a live band from New York CIty. After traveling solo through America and Europe on a songwriting trip, experimenting in a variety of styles and tinkering with a plethora of beats and melodies, Kat settled in Berlin to pursue a fresh and meaningful musical endeavor. It was in Berlin, with it's melting pot of creative forces that she met Laila and the cutting edge Berlin production team the Beat Gees, a kaledidoscopic musical collaboration that spawned the new project Kat Vinter. Kat Vinter's music combines the unique moody beats and experimental soundscpaes of the Beat Gees with hauntingly honest and beautiful lyrics/melodies created by Laila and Kat during endless conversations in the cafes and bars of Berlin. Kat Vinter has a cinematic intensity, moments of darkness and light, sounds that are tinged with sadness for some moments and bursting with an infectious percussive energy at others. Poetic lyrics get to the heart of experience, a journey of elaborate harmonies and breathily executed vocals.
