Though "Idol Maker" is officially Knightlife's debut release, for London this is certainly not his first forey into the music landscape. With three previous solo releases, and crafting hit records at the helm for artists like B2K, Marques Houston, and developing his own label and stable of artists for over 10 years, London is a war tested industry vet. It is with this in mind that Knightlife's debut "Idol Maker" takes shape. From the lead off track "One Love" it is clear Knightlife's reason for existence is to make the masses move. Pren'tis Knight takes the helm on "Doin Da Most" delivering flawless flavor on this ode to "Independent Women". London and Pren'tis tag team on "Sombody Gonna Get It" a gritty in your face groover laced with poetic phrases like "Your World is like a waterfall bringin the pain, don't you think it's time you made a change?" For Knightlife, melding genres is effortless. Songs like the guitar driven "Crush" and "AsThe World Turns" illustrate London and Pren'tis' wide range of influences and showcase the bands musicianship. "Pren'tis really has a knack for great choruses", says London "and Crush is a perfect example of the magic we create when we are in the studio as a team."
