They came. They saw. They rocked. They broke stuff. They played nintendo. They spat in the face of fame. They disbanded. Believe it or not, that sums it up rather nicely. This is the story of Love Cup, one of Champaign-Urbana's favorite legends. Though they haven't toured in almost a decade, their legend lives on. Just last fall, Terminus Victor covered Love Cup at The Great Cover-Up. Love Cup is/was Mark Baldwin, TJ Harrison, and Jason Milam. Mark and Jason have since been in another legendary Champaign band, The Mezzanines. They moved to NYC this year to pursue bigger things, so keep yr ears peeled. TJ Harrison now lives in Chicago (i think) and was last seen laying down some tracks with Tim Lash of Hum with his new project called Glifted. All these said recordings can be had at parasol.com.
