Lye By Mistake

Not since Love Lost But Not Forgotten has the city of St. Louis produced such a creative musical tour de force in the form of Lye by Mistake. These four men are the torch bearing mad scientists of the new generation of extreme music. Instead of meager musicians trying to make a statement from the shadows, the members of Lye by Mistake act as insane bartenders whipping up previously unfathomed catastrophic concoctions of noise, melody, and chaos for all to see. Their unique blend of metal, grind, jazz, and progressive rock could be ignorantly dismissed as clones of previous bands; however, that is simply not the case. Lye by Mistake brings something insightful to the table that the world of extreme music has never before seen. Their debut EP (self-released, mind you), garnered immense praise from all corners of the extreme music community as something that required immediate attention. It was instantly praised as Album of the Week on Lambgoat.com, and quickly helped secure the band a deal with United Edge Records. While the EP has now been properly re-released on the St. Louis label Dark Front Records, the impending full length for Lambgoat Records promises to pioneer new ground in this style, impressing all ears upon which it falls.
