Melodrom

MELoDROM -The group was first founded in the year 2000 with the original intention to compose and record soundtracks solely for theatre performances and shows. With all the original band members remaining the same Melodrom still contributes tracks for various performances while their main focus has changed. The soundtracks are now only a small part of it. - So far Melodrom has released 4 albums (Nika records; Automatik records): Melodrom in 2004, The Guide in 2006, a remix album Variacije in 2008 and Vse kar si pustila da leži na tleh in May 2010. The debut album was proclaimed “album of the year 2004” by Slovene no.1 newspaper Delo and Slovene national television. Counting days, the first single from the album The Guide, reached first place on the International Crossradio chart of best singles of 2006 (www.crossradio.org). Their latest album Vse kar si pustila da leži na tleh has been released in May 2010. - Collaborations: The singer - Mina - is featured on Laibach’s remix of Rammstein’s Ohne dich (Rammstein – Ohne dich, Universal, 2005) and on Laibach’s album Volk (Laibach – Volk, Mute, 2006). Since 2006 she is also performing on their live shows across Europe and USA. Melodrom has also collaborated with DJ Umek (Posing as me, his upcoming album) and the band Rotor (Rotor – Phonophobia, Nika, 2006). - The band is currently performing with a new drummer and an additional keyboard player; it's a 100% live act for the first time in their history. They're presenting older, published songs, as well as premiering never before presented songs. Read more on Last.fm.
