Munk Tung

Munk Tung is a hard rock band from Orlando, Florida comprised of members: Ethan Kennett (Vocals/Guitar), Marcus Crespihlo (Guitar/Vocals), Nick Melashenko (Bass/Vocals), and Marc Kryl (Drums/Vocals). The band formed in the spring of 2006, determined to let the musical styles of each of member dictate the path this group would take. We knew, because of the diverse influences of each member, we would have an arduous task ahead of us… not to mention the time it takes to learn each other’s personalities and build the trust needed to survive as a group. Over the summer months we wrote a ton of songs which let us experiment enough to create the music that would make it onto our debut album. Finally in the fall of 2006, still nameless, we entered the studio under the direction of producer Brett Hestla. After months of recording and mixing, we emerged with a polished product that features diverse, yet catchy songs that combined our vast range of styles. Metal, Rock, Prog, Fusion, Hardcore, and even Pop were utilized in creating a sound that we feel is truly ours. We let the songs, our personalities, and the drive of our band dictate what our name would be... Munk Tung. This, to us, essentially means, “Actions speak louder than words”.
