New Century Classics' members are centered around a mutual love of good music and the desire to fill their time and their hands with as many instruments as possible. If necessary, New Century Classics' music can be defined as post-rock. However, genres tend to be limiting and definitions are better left in dictionaries on shelves. New Century Classics was formed in Krakow, Poland in May 2006 (though adding their final member and fine-tuning their sound in September-October 2006) and existed for three years, two EPs and one album as a five-piece consisting of two Poles, a Polish-American and a Polish-Canadian hybrid, and an Italian who's decent at banging on things with sticks. In early 2010, two of their founding members moved away to bigger cities and other projects, and a new member was added on bass, changing the formation to a guitar-wielding Pole, a key-inclined Polish-American, a Limey bassman, and an Italian who's gotten better at banging on things with sticks. When playing live they're joined by two Polish cello and violin virtuosos. NCC's first full-length album, Natural Process, was released on November 23rd, 2009, and is available as a free digital download (physical copies are sold out for the moment). Their second EP, Heart with Four Rooms, is also available as a digital download. The band's second full-length album is scheduled for a 2013 release. releases: Natural Process - full-length album released November 2009 Heart with Four Rooms - limited edition EP released for March 2009 tour New Century Classics EP re-released with new artwork on the Chinese net label Institute of Surplus Value "Congratulate You, Where?" featured on Silent Ballet Volume VIII - Étrangement Vocal (Lost Children Net Label, 2008) compilation "Congratulate You, Where?" & "Drift Motion" featured on W Krainie Dzwiekow z Muz (FDM Records, 2008) compilation "A Small Misunderstanding" featured on We Are From Poland Vol. 2 (Don't Panic Publishing, 2007) compilation New Century Classics EP, self-released April 2007 related projects: Lights Dim - Marek from NCC Shoju - Dana and Mateusz, founding members of NCC www.newcenturyclassics.net New Century Classics on Bandcamp New Century Classics on myspace New Century Classics group on last.fm Read more on Last.fm.
