Ron Imhoff is a multi-instrumentalist and was born in Miami Florida. He began playing guitar at age 13 and began writing and recording at 18 years of age in Miami. Early recordings included progressive instrumental rock. Influences range from classic rock artists such as Pink Floyd, Rush and others to current artists in various genres including techno, metal, and jazz. In the late 80's the basic tracks that would later become "Progressive Elements" were recorded using a multi-track recorder. Nearly a decade later, Imhoff's first "Chemistry" ambient CD was recorded and independently released on Imhoff's independent "Kookie Jar Records" label. The first Chemistry release was primarily recorded in Mississippi. However, some of the basic tracks were recorded years earlier in Miami. The CD reach #13 on the New Age Voice Top 100 charts without professional promotion. The CD remained on the top 100 for 7 months and in the #13 spot for two months. 3 years later "Eastern Influence" from the same recording reached and held the #1 position on MusicChoice.com's Soundscapes channel. Tracks from this CD are still aired today. The second Chemistry record "Wings of Sound" was released in 2004 and continues to receive consistent airplay on Satellite Radio stations "SPA" on Sirius and "Audio Visions" on XM Radio. The record was recorded in New Jersey and includes natural sounds from forests in Norther New Jersey. Chemistry "Heart of the Sun" was recorded in Southern California and has a more contemporary feel. Songs on the CD range from Smooth Jazz to Ambient. This CD is by far the most diverse in terms of genres. Imhoff also recorded Elektromuze which is a techno electronic record that incoirporates midi, electronic percussion, and sythesizers. In addition, standard electric guitars and ebow guitar sounds are included on the recording. A Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer was also used and creates some unique sounds on various tracks. The Confronted - A rock and roll project - is planned for release in late 2010 or early 2011. The project is currently being mixed with parts contributed by various other musicians.
