Rosebleed is a 5 piece alternative rock band from Athens, Greece with male vocals. The members of the band came together in 2004 at the tender age of 16. Rosebleed believe that music has to evolve always into something better and new as the years go by, so that's what they're trying to do by experimentation and by not imprisoning their creativity in one specific genre of music. A bio. Rosebleed won the Nakas Auditorium Contest in 2007 which won them a contract with Sony Music Greece, joined fellow labelmates, Matisse, on a 10-dates tour in March 2008, opened for Hooverphonic in May, played Rockwave festival in June 2008 and released the EP "Stories" in July, 2008. The Ep produced the hit single "Until Next Time", that reached the top 50 of Music Control radio airplay chart by the end of the year. The promo video for this single reached the top 10 of MTV Greece and received heavy videoplay from Mad TV in late 2008-early 2009. In 2009 they recorded their debut full lenght album in early summer, titled "White Balloons" and released it via Sony Greece in December 2009. The album featured a collaboration with famous Greek singer/songwriter Philippos Platsikas. But is was right after exiting studio, in July 2009, when Rosebleed they had their biggest moment yet, when they opened for Carlos Santana in front of a sell out audience of 25,000 at Athens Olympic Stadium! An extensive Greek tour followed the release of the album covered much of the band's time from late November 2009 to May 2010 when they took by storm the Athens venue "Kyttaro" ending the long tour is style, recording and filming the gig! During this "White Balloons" tour 09-10, Rosebleed met and opened for the British band, Puressence, at their shows in Thessaloniki, Larissa and Patra. They also performed during a "Death Disco" club night in Athens right before the dj set of the mighty Alan McGee of Oasis, Primal Scream and Glassvegas fame! A second video for a "White Balloons" song, this time for "I Want to Have It All", was shot in spring 2010 and also climbed high on TV charts. Summer 2010 saw the band performing in open theaters and festivals in Greece, among them the 35th River Party in Kastoria. Another big moment was the opening for The Cranberries in Vrachon Theatre in Athens in front of a sell out crowd of 6,000. An on stage collaboration with fellow Irish, Craig Walker, the voice of the best era of British band, Archive, took place late July ending in Chania, Crete, with 200 people from the audience getting ON stage dancing with the band! A very intimate performance took place in September 2010. Rosebleed played for Schoolwave at the gardens of Megaron Moussikis in Athens! And as Rosebleed started to get their new songs together, the lead singer, Vassilis, and the keyboard player, Danae, joined Craig Walker again on a lenghty, acoustic, Greek tour in November 2010. Rosebleed end their one year promo run for "White Ballons" by radio-releasing "Bingo", their third and last single of the album, in November 2010. Some final shows are to be held in January 2011, followed by a period of writting sessions in their studio in Piraeus,Greece. A highly expected step abroad is planned for March 2011...
