Sarakhs is an Iranian Alternative Rock band which was first formed in 1999 in Tehran, Iran by Yuri on Drums, his brother Peter on Bass and Behzad Khiavchi as vocalist. The first album “Az Khak” was recorded in BAM studio during 1999-2000 but never released officially. Single tracks like "Mordab" and "Vasvase" are well known from this album. Mordab is one of the well-known songs from this album which was chosen for Underground Music Competition in 2003 held by Tehran Avenue Music Festival (TAMF) and placed 4th in the competition. “Mordad 85” is the second album from Sarakhs which was recorded live in "Aftab e Alamtab" studio and released on July 7th 2007.
