Say Yes call themselves at least three artists, a three piece rock band from Ontario Canada featuring x-members of Alexisonfire and Saint Alvia; the London-based electronic project from Jacob Mayfield (Victoria and Jacob), formed in Cambridge, UK; a 5 piece South Korean idol band that debuted in 2013. Say Yes, the Toronto-based rock trio comprised of former members of acts like Alexisonfire, Jersey, and Saint Alvia, and while their debut self-titled EP is expected in the fall of 2014 via Dine Alone Records, the underlying seeds of these songs have been sown over the last two decades– and in the best possible way, you can tell. Comprised of drummer Jordan Hastings, guitarist/vocalist Adam Michael, and bassist/vocalist Michael Zane, the trio delivers solid songwriting reminiscent of ‘90s era of rock and roll. Incorporating the riff-driven intensity of early Queens of the Stone Age and the emotive post-hardcore of Rival Schools and Quicksand, there’s something blatantly nostalgic about the six songs that make up their debut release, and yet it never comes off as derivative or dull. Real Life Trash Mag is the debut LP from rock trio Say Yes. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
