Scott Reynolds has played music in about...um... a lot of bands over the years. The problem is that all these changes in personell have made it pretty much impossible to credibly record and tour under a single moniker. And changing band names all the time makes it very hard to gain the notoriety necessary to become abhorrently rich and famous. Scott started a musical situation called Scott Reynolds and the Steaming Beast. Here's the deal. He's asked musician types whom he admires (and who are also friends of his) to help him play his songs. And a bunch of them have! They make up differing versions of the Steaming Beast while he remains Scott Reynolds. Genius! Right? Damn right it is! There can be like a hundred incarnations of the Beast , all of which kick enormous ass, and he gets to be a part of every frickin' one! Sooo killer! Anyway, They just finished recording the first record with the help of supergenius producer, and accomplished multi-instrumentalist Dave Fridmann. Also on board was the freakishly talented musical magician Steven Drozd of Flaming Lips fame. Wait! There's more! Drag the River did a tune that came out way way kickass! Add a couple Pavers, a Bleed for Me dude, and a Bonesaw Romance guy, and you've got a bona fide smorgasbord of kickassness and a pretty frickin' cool record. (It's called Adventure Boy in case you're wondering.) . Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
