Sietta

Sietta (typeset as sietta) are an Australian soul/electronica/rnb group from Darwin, Northern Territory. The duo consists of vocalist Caiti Baker and producer/multi-instrumentalist James Mangohig. The group formed in 2009, following a stint by Mangohig as the bassist in TZU's live band. Their first official release was a remix for TZU’s Computer Love remix album. This was followed up with The Come Back Easy Play EP, a collection of 4 songs developed in the studio with TZU's Count Bounce. In 2010, sietta began work on their debut album with Count Bounce brought in to record and assist with production. The album, The Seventh Passenger, was released in July 2011 via Elefant Traks; with whom they had signed earlier in the year. Two singles were released from the album - "What Am I Supposed to Do?" and "No Longer Hurt." They were named as a part of triple j's ‘Next Crop’ artists later in the year; before touring with acts such as Hermitude, Illy and The Herd. In March 2012, they released an EP, The Dark Passenger, a collection of acoustically reworked songs from The Seventh Passenger. A new single, "Let it Go," was released in August of 2013. It was later revealed to be the first single from their second studio album, The Invisible River. The band undertook a brief headlining tour and made an appearance at ET15, a collection of shows celebrating the 15-year anniversary of Elefant Traks. A second single from the album, "Agree to Disagree," was released in December 2013. The Invisible River was released in February 2014. Read more on Last.fm.
