Skelpaig are proud to present their debut album , “...aye?” This record features many original compositions, as well as a sample from their diverse repertoire of tunes both from their native Highland Tradition and beyond. Skelpaig are; Katherine Liley from Skye on Fiddle, David Adam from Inverness on Pipes, Flute and Whistles, David Sutherland from Roybridge on Guitar and Bass, the album also features Peter Hunter from Newcastle on Mandolin and Mandola. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Nick Turner at Watercolour Music, Ardgour. From CD inlay… “While playing in Glasgow sessions, David and I were often told “you guys should get a band together!” - and not just when we’d bought the drinks. Two years later we did (as it was a matter of great urgency). David Sutherland joined the band in early 2006, proving to be the driving force we had been needing all along. People started asking “are you guys going to do a cd?” For a year and a half we said “yes, we should do that…” And so finally here it is. We hope you like it. It took us ages.” Read more on Last.fm.
