Hailing from Germany, the trip-hop band Sorem Sound System developed from a former grunge rock band, ausgeträumt. But they soon got away from rock and discovered their love for spherical synthy sounds which perfectly work together with the smooth melodies and Heike Duh and Michelle Tabu's vocals. Every now and then you hear find some reminders of the days when bandleader Marc Schwarzer made guitar driven grunge rock, which makes them distinct from other trip hop sounds. Until 2001 Sorem Sound System was known under the name "ausgeträumt". They have released a self titled album at the end of 2001. Read more on Last.fm.
