The Fenians are an electrifying Irish musical quintet based out of Orange County, CA (now there's irony). The lads offer a mix of their original creations, and contemporary and traditional songs. Their foundation is decidedly Celtic, but there is no mistaking the complimentary influences of Rock, Folk, Bluegrass, Jazz, and World music. If ever there was a band whose members make up a potent body of music, it is The Fenians. Terry Casey - lead vocals and mandolin - the heart, Kenny Cosca - bass, vocals - the pulse, David Burnett - whistles, sax, flute - the soul, Chris Pierce - drums, vocals - the bones, and Rob Williams - vocals, guitar - the muscle, through their music and voices represent everyman - sweet and sorrowful; brave and beautiful; angry and amused. Since 1990,The Fenians have garnered an impressive list of accomplishments and honors, headlining theaters and festivals across the U. S. and Ireland, including: the House of Blues (Hollywood), The Galaxy, and the Coach House (Orange County), The Milwaukee Irish Fest, Chicago Irish Fest (Gaelic Park), the Stonehill Irish Festival (Boston), and The Quays (Galway), one of Ireland's premiere live music venues, to name but a few. In 1999, The Fenians were inducted into the Guinness Wall of Fame. In March 2004, The Fenians released Every Day’s A Hooley, fifth in their line of highly successful CD titles which includes Have Fun or Get Out (2001), Band of Rogues (1999), A Distant City Street (1994) and Live at the Harp (1993). The critically acclaimed Every Day’s A Hooley, is their boldest and most adventurous artistic statement to date with their thought provoking and well crafted original compositions, The Fenians continue to show why they are the premier practitioners of Celtic Rock in the USA Read more on Last.fm.
