The Mission In Motion is a Sydney, NSW-based band who has been leaving a lasting impression on listeners, thanks to their earnest, energetic and honest songs. Their debut EP, “The Window”, is a fine introduction to an enthralling new rock band. Originally formed in 2004, The Mission In Motion’s sound began to take shape when Chris Maguire (guitar, vocals) and Brett Islaub (vocals) started writing and recording demos together. In the spring of 2005, Islaub and Maguire rounded out the line-up of talented young musicians by recruiting Andrew McNeil (bass), Kent Griffiths (guitar, vocals) and Lachlan Gray (drums). After making a name for themselves in their hometown, The Mission In Motion embarked on several East Coast tours and performed alongside of acts such as Aiden (USA), Street Drums Corps (USA), The White Room and Avalon Drive. The group rapidly amassed a slew of fans, including Sydney-based Crusade Records, who signed the band to a deal in November 2006. In December 2006, The Mission In Motion entered the studio to record The Window, with Shane Edwards and Dave Petravic, and finished things up with Don Bartley (Silverchair, The Beatles, The Living End). From the anthemic title track, "The Window", to the intense, string-led, "Exhale You", the EP bursts with blazing guitars, propulsive rhythms and passionate vocals. Buoyed by their early accomplishments, the members of The Mission In Motion are focusing on writing the next chapter of the band’s musical quest. “We are going to work as hard as we can to keep doing this,” says Islaub.
