The Swipes, formed in 2007 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, are known for an individual yet catchy sound. The four-piece has developed an - as the press says - electrifying sort of sixties-influenced rock, rounded off with a pinch of punk. They consider this blend as a German answer to the latest garage rock revival, a style belonging to the sphere of bands like The Hives, The (International) Noise Conspiracy and co. “Destroy Your World”, the 13-track debut longplayer of The Swipes, was published by Kamikaze Records. The 12-track successor "Lost" has just been released via Mad Butcher Records (autumn 2013). Both albums are available on portals like Amazon and iTunes as well as in many record stores.
