The Denver Gentlemen formed in the 1988 and ended in the mid 90s. In those years the band featured David Edwards of 16 Horsepower and Woven Hand and at different times also Slim Cessna and Frank Hauser Jr of Slim Cessna's Auto Club. Jeffery-Paul, the man behind the Gents, also played in 16 Horsepower and many of the songs on Low Estate were once Denver Gentlemen songs. Jeffery-Paul resurrected the Denver Gentlmen in the 21st century with a new line-up featuring folks from Devotchka at times and Sharon G on vocals. The debut album from The Denver Gentlemen (recorded in 1995) will be reissued by Smooch in March of 2007. The self titled, and very beautiful, second album is available through this website. The third and final album from the Denver Gentlemen will be recorded this year. Read more on Last.fm.
