This Is The Hospital is a post-hardcore band made up of weathered veterans in the San Diego music scene, as well as some fresh blood helping continue the progression of music in San Diego. Originally, This is the Hospital was a variety of band names and members. Finally, they have progressed through their changes and moved on. In Febuary of 2006, This is the Hospital hooked up with Brian Grider at SCM Recordings (The Fire Restart, End of Eden) and started producing the new music.
