While his upbringing gave Philipp Koller a good grounding in classical music, the neoclassical surroundings of Berlin have had an equal aesthetic influence on the architecture of his compositions. His band Ter Haar has certainly found a happy home in the thriving live music scene in Berlin, while he’s made great strides exploring the intersection of man and machine via his Thomalla moniker. It’s been a lightning journey from Philipp’s first set as Thomalla on New Year’s Eve 2010 to seeing his tracks take physical shape via legendary pressing plant, Dubplates and Mastering.
