Upon Beauty Rests is rock band based out of Portland, Oregon. They were previously known as Blessed Be You, but with changes in their personal lives, they decided to change the band's name as well. They decided on Upon Beauty Rests because "we think of our music as very beautiful. NOT just chugga chugga break downs. So in Shakespearean times when something was beautiful they described it with that term." Although the lineup has been changing greatly, the band currently consists of Richie (guitar), Jon (bass), Annie (guitar & vocals), Jacob (vocals), Matthew (piano & vocals), and Daniel (drums/percussion).
