There are several artists with that name. 1) Vespertine is the stage name of musician Brian Ziff, who for the past year has been recording songs for his debut record which is expected to be released in Fall of 2010. Brian has a wide variety of musical skills and is talented at vocals, bass, synthesizer, piano, guitar and drums. His music is a combination of the Classical, Rock, and Alternative genres. 2) Vespertine may also refer to the Ambient project of Australian artist Greg Godhard. Very little information is available aside from an independant release titled 'Transmissions From Antiworld' (1998) which is an album of dark and evolving soundscapes that carry the listener into far reaches of deep space. An obscure gem for fans of Dark Ambient, Industrial, Minimal artists such as: Lustmord, Maeror Tri, raison d'être, etc. 3) Vespertine is also a raw black metal band from Victoria, Australia. They have released one (self-titled) demo so far. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
