A forgotten new-wave ex-yugoslavian band, who reached its fame due to song „Sama“ („Alone“) appearing in Bata Prelic’s “Šećerna vodica” movie soundtrack. Band was formed in 1981 in Beograd, Serbia and the members were: Mira Mijatović (vocal), Bojan Pečar, Dušan Gerzić Gera and Miško Plavi. The group started working in the beginning of eighties, recording songs “Hawaii (Najlepši kraj)” and “Lilihip (My boy lollipop)” for “Artistička radna akcija” compilation (1981). The album, “Perfektan dan za banana ribe” (“Perfect day for banana-fish”, J.D. Salinger’s short-story title) came in 1983, so as song Ti (“You”), included in Ventilator 202 Demo Top 10 radio collection. They split shortly afterwards. Mira died on drug-use; Bojan and Dušan died a decade after, at late ’90s. Miško Plavi is the only survival member of the band. The group still enjoys popularity due to extreme and continuous distribution of the song "Sama" in post-yugoslavian audiences, and some controversy going on in the story of Via Talas. Somewhat confusing "Via" (should be written as: VIA) in the name of the group is likely just an acronym typically used for music bands in late communist Yugoslavia ("vokalno instrumentalni ansambl").
