Silverlake, California's Viva K came from very strange beginnings. The abnormal quartet was united by a strange sitar that was rumored to belong to Brian Jones, a mutual love for George Harrison, and each one of them owning an Indian instrument. Viva K is unlike anything you may ever hear. Their exotic mixes of punk, raga, techno, and psychedelia will entrance all who hear it. Viva K features the lovely Ween Callas (sometimes dubbed "the female Perry Farrell") on vox, Ravi Dhar on guitar, Skoda on bass and guitar, and Evan Haros on sitar and electronics.
