These five guys from Giessen/Muenster of course are not the first ones asking what suceeds Emo...But seldomly the results sound as mature as on their second full-length CD tired happy homecoming: Northern european pathetic experimental soundscapes littered by some upbeat straight-forward songs. Imagine the aggressive rawness of the early Jimmy eat world meeting the melancholic atmosphere of the late Appleseed cast, add some splashes of Mogwai`s or Elliott`s artfulness and you get a picture of the unique sound this band creates. This unique mixture adds up to a sound that almost anybody can enjoy. Starting out in 2000 as a worship band of the German-originated Jesus freaks movement , an underground subcultural church movement, the first record on a sunday had the focus on worship lyrics and their songs soon were played and sung along all over the country in Jesus Freaks and other christian youth groups, creating kind of a fan base other bands only can dream of. When tired happy homecoming arrived on the scene 2004, the band had shifted their focus on more complex and varied songs, musical and lyrics-wise, yet still with honesty and weakness attached to the lyrics. This band is set for bringing the heart of worship back to the streets and clubs, leaving audiences overwhelmed and sweating... Having been on the road frequently the last two years the band has played with Seeed, Lampshade (DK), the violet burning (USA), Kevin Devine (USA), this beautiful mess (NL), Jetsetready (NL), AIM (I), The flying windmill, Dorfdisco, last tuesday (USA), blindside (Swe), deep insight (fin).... 2005 saw appearances at Freakstock`s mainstage and Christmas Rock night as well as in the livingroom-like atmosphere of Sofa Soundz at Muenster rocking like shit... When "tired happy homecoming" came out it was reviewed in theGerman Indie music mag Intro and moved to the 2nd best sold CD in the ASAPH (label distribution) charts, 1500 so far. In january 07 a concert hosted by the "Batschkapp" in Frankfurt was broadcasted on German TV stations HR and WDR in the format "newcomer TV". Read more on Last.fm.
