They were able to pass through mirrors, using them like doors to other dimensions. They could travel between the stars without any kind of machines or spaceships. All they needed was their mind energy, called the "Aconite Force". Baron Ywolf, the leader of the clan, started to build tunnels between the stars with his people. These living tunnels were like veins in the human body, they were transferring information between faraway planets in the forgotten "Dream Language". Thousands of years after the last member of the clan had died, the system is still working. Nowadays noone knows the procedure of moving through mirrors, nobody can use the communication system anymore. But sometimes when you look into a mirror, strange sounds and rhythms can be heard from the other side. Chanting of their dead spirits in Dream Language and rhythms of their bloody rituals... These are the sounds of the forgotten... Galaxy of Gore. - Gabriel Wolf is not just a musician (leader of bands such as Finnugor and Infra Black) but a writer too. The name of this band "Ywolf" (pronounced "eewolf") came from one of his earlier novels, called "Gore Galaxy" (short summary of this novel can be seen above). In this project most lyrical conceptions are based on Gabriel's own novels, for example "Gore Galaxy", "Varaniju", "Dream Warrior" and "Key of Dimensions" (the last two titles can be found on the "Ywolf - Dream Warrior" CD, as a multimedia bonus track!). Many other Ywolf songs are based on John Caldwell's dark fantasy/horror novels, such as "Trilogy of the Night", "Night of the Werewolf", "The Dark Side of Chaos" or the "Demons of Chaos". - The band was founded by Gabriel in 2001 after he finished his first Finnugor album with Tomi Kalliola, called the "Black Flames". Ywolf and Finnugor bands always had common members, but aside from Finnugor's music, Ywolf is not black metal. Ywolf Clan calls their music "Dark Gothic Orchestral", which is a reconsideration of symphonic gothic/gothic ambient music. Gabriel was always a big respecter of bands such as Sopor Aeternus, early Mortiis, Die Verbannten Kinder Eva's and Dargaard. He started this band by following the path of these bands, but only to a certain point. He combined the basics of their style with black metal screamings, death growlings and many other singing and speaking techniques which are not usual in this music genre. He uses about 20 very different voices in this project, which can remind the listener of Mr.Doctor's crazy performances in Devil Doll band. Due to this new way of performing this music style, we can call Ywolf and incomparable and "only" band who represents "Dark Gothic Orchestral" music. Ywolf always had a hard job with finding records labels to their works. Simply because most labels are only interested in mainstream bands, representers of more accepted, typical styles, and they don't dare to release really unique and pioneer ideas unfortunately. This is a sad fact, because the world was always moved onwards by pioneers of new philosophical ideas and not by the followers. After Adipocere Records has stopped their releasing/signing activity and Ywolf's record deal (for only one CD) with Irond Records expired, they are currently unsigned and looking for new a record label again!
