Zaac Pick is a singer-songwriter and instrumentalist based in suburban Vancouver, Canada. He is more widely known as the lead guitarist of Canadian indie rock mainstay Doubting Paris, a band that emerged in 2003 from the same scene that engendered artists like Stabilo, Rene Thomas, The Februarys and Maclean. Pick often uses creative and sometimes unconventional methods to achieve his unique ambient, layered, folk-tinged guitar stylings. His debut solo release, the Fierce Wind EP, arrived in spring 2009 and saw Pick exchanging the echoing rock-meets-folk soundscapes of Doubting Paris for a more organic, acoustic, intimate sound.
