Zka4t

Zka4t is project of Matouš Godík. Zka4t (in czech language) is short of Little Green Riding Hood and Four Dwarves. He was born in 1979 in Prague - Czech Republic. During his formative years his parents paid for years of piano lessons and gave him access to their collection of late '70 jazz. No surprise he's inspired by jazz now and is the proud owner of a fender Rhodes piano. After some troublesome teenage years experimenting with other types of music he rediscovered jazz and found new interest in other forms of leftfield music. He spent some years composing and experimenting with ambient sounds but felt a change coming in 1998. At that moment Zka4t was born and his compositions started to flourish. Here began a four year quest to finish his debut album that was released here in the Czech Republic entitled Polytea. A mixture of jazzy breaks, sentimental vibes and chilled sounds this debut stands tall for Czech new music. Read more on Last.fm.
