This page is about the alternative rock band "gadget." from Tokyo. "gadget." was an alternative rock band based in Tokyo and was active until Dec. 2009. The members were... KENZO-A(Vo.+Gt.), Marcherry(Ba.+Cho.), Nanka(Ds.+Cho.), Jun-pei(Gt.). After breaking up, KENZO-A, Marcherry and Nanka formed Gabriels Stiletto. Jun-pei Joined 東狂黒 (Tokyokuro). Since KENZO-A was the mastermind of the band, Gabriels Stiletto carries on the music style and some of the songs. Kenzo-A spent his high-teen era in Los Angels and laid his musical foundation there being sorrounded by arty, psychedelic, punky atmosphere of the city's nature. When he moved to Tokyo, he formed a new band called the Gadget with a drum player Takada (Mono). Then he started a solo project called "gadget. "(in small letters with a dot on the end) and that was the start. Marcherry was an illustrator who had designed some Kenzo-A's bands' flyers and posters and CD covers. She had no experience as a bass player but some as a saxophone player in a jazz band. She started playing the bass when she decided to join "gadget." . After several member changes, Nanka joined as a drummer and made a great contribution to developing their rhythm style. Jun-pei (a.k.a. Red Show) who had just finished his career with a hard rock oriented punk band the Resistance which was well known in Nagoya punk scene, came to Tokyo and saw the gadget.'s show. Although the music style was nothing he's ever experienced, Jun-pei instantly knew it was the band he's meant to play in. While they play gigs mainly at underground events in Tokyo, they have established their cult fan base world wide through internet. This led them to their first Europe tour with Dead Sexy Inc. and Toxic Sonic on November 2008. On April 2009, they made the come back for second Europe tour including shows at the Le Printemps de Bourges and L'Olympia in France. Read more on Last.fm.
