We/Or/Me is the musical alias of Bahhaj Taherzadeh, an Irish-born, Chicago-based songwriter. Sometimes other people are involved, sometimes they’re not. Bahhaj has been writing songs for many years. He first started performing them in front of people around 2002 under the somewhat forceful encouragement of Glen Hansard of the frames/swell season. Since then he has shared the stage with many fine warriors of the road, and has watched as his songs have gone on to live more adventurous lives than he has, appearing on TV and radio and whoring themselves around on the internet. The first We/Or/Me release was a 2003 CD-R EP called Simple Lines, which very few people have copies of. It is so rare, in fact, that not even Bahhaj has a copy anymore. In 2006 We/Or/Me were featured on the excellent Yeti 4 compilation, and in 2008 the Ghostwriter EP was released. In 2009 We/Or/Me started recording a covers record called Dust Jacket, Vol. 1, which is available at Yer Bird Records. 2010 will see the release of the first proper full-length We/Or/Me album.
