Three years after their debut album “abyss desires” avoid-a-void presents their 2nd album “musique noire”. The past period they spent precious time for the development of fascinating sound creations. The new 10-track-album is released on October 26th 2012 and shows that falo + rico continue their away consistently. avoid-a-void’s songs come along with attention to detail, sophisticated compositions and a more mature production. On "musique noire" the duo is not afraid to introduce new sound influences to the listener. was "abyss desires" still characterized by the frequent use of the vocoder-sound, the focus is now more than ever on the charismatic voice of lead singer falo. The powerful electro sound, which the listeners probably already animated to melt away on "abyss desires" is found again but enriched by the use of more organic sound elements! avoid-a-void present a complex but homogeneous album here. Songs like e.g. “s got kryptonite", "untouchable "or “yearn for your proximity" inspire by their lightness and catchy melodies and definitely generate a need to dance. Then rico + falo show with the opener "musique noire" claustrophobic atmospheres and a dark side, which is reflected in the album again and again and recurrently appears in falo’s gloomy lyrics. Fans of de/vision, camouflage, mesh etc. definitely should not miss this album. on the one hand, it offers everything what the "experienced" electro-pop listeners would appreciate, and on the other hand much of what she will discover new and loving!
