The band was formed in late 2005 by guitarist/singer Björn Zylka (ex-Zero Hunt), and drummer Rene Marxer (ex-Elis). After several line-up changes, ex-Lovechild bass player Christian Vogt joined the band. All three members had a long record of experience in the European metal scene, touring with such acts as Primal Fear, EverEve, Leaves Eyes, Atrocity, Such a Surge and Shakra. Exactly at the right time the band acquired a second guitarist; Pete Streit, formerly a member of Elis. He, too, has earned his stars in the music business with several tours and four albums made by him. In june '07 the first demo was recorded, and july marked Demonium's live debut.
