Born around mid-1970's, Kouerien started from the mutual interest in music of a particular group of friends. Their aim was especially folk and soft folk rock, although they have soon turned into their breton folk roots, becoming a reference to this musical genre. They were particular active during the 1970's having recorded several albuns and toured all around France. The band officially disbanded due to its members personal life circumstances.
