Kranivm was one of the several Atrax Morgue side-projects by the prolific Italian noise artist Marco Corbelli. Kranivm was founded in Sassuolo, Italy in 1993 as a sound project concerned to create obscure and oppressive soundtracks. Dark and droning sounds, inspired by ancient, ritualistic, medieval, terror literature, influenced by writers like E.A. Poe, H.P. Lovecraft and J.K. Huysmans, and movie directors like Armando de Ossorio, Jesus Franco and Ken Russell. The result is a death ambient atmosphere that submerges the listener into a deep world of nightmares, gothic surrealism and horror fantasies.
