SUPERMAN IVY A.K.A. GAKNAKUNAE the positive virtuoso of Korean hiphop; with his 2004 solo debut, incognito virtuoso. Raised in Brooklyn, NY, SUPERMAN IVY spent his youth listening to multi-genre, multi-generational record collection. He began developing his literary gift during his childhood, when he'd write short stories, poems, speeches, and so on. As he got deeper into black culture, especially into black music, he realized that MCing is the perfect way to express his ideas and thoughts through the African rhythm. Keeping the sophisticated lyrical technique and literate,intelligent, environmentally conscious lyrics alive, SUPERMAN IVY became a highly influential figure in Korean hiphop industry. On 2002, SUPERMAN IVY was able to catch his first break, by participating the MP compilation ??. Later on, by collaborating with DJ soulscape on soulscape's 'Lovers' SUPERMAN IVY crystallized his reputation as one of the underground's best lyricists. On 2004, his first solo EP album, 'incognito virtuoso' was well-received in the press, and SUPERMAN IVY further raised his profile with several notable guest spots over the next couple of years. Moreover, SUPERMAN IVY has done two fresh-collabos by creating new units such as the Seoulstar(Gaknakunae+cubic) and the napow(Gaknakunae+Nuckeubsany) within his crew, 'nusoulclassic.' On 2006, he has dropped two singles 'JEAN & ANDY' and 'MIND BODY & SEOUL,' and his full-length album, 'GREEN TOUR.'
