After the extensive touring that followed their debut release, Rock Motor, the band joined forces with a furious indie label Hype Records! Touring took The Winyls from Finnish venues all the way to Los Angeles, Berlin and back. The band is confident that it was only the beginning! During winter 2007 Leady Winyl, James James, Pablo Spörre, Sheriff and HC Andersson made countless demos and practiced a huge amount of material for the recordings of their second album, titled Honey & Lime. The recording sessions in July 2007 were a memorable experience for these five rockers. The band recorded the album in Porvoo, a small town whose bohemian and relaxed atmosphere proved to do good for the band's concentration, and the band was relieved to draw strength (i.e the holy mojo of rock'n roll) from that. The album was engineered by Hannu "grandmaster funk" Lamminmäki. Sometimes complicated situations escalated so fast that all he could do was scream "OH It burns." Recordings continued in the following autumn but the band was keen to play a few shows as well. The Winyls was happy to be awarded for the best live act in the international music expo Music & Media in Tampere, October 2007 (according to SuomiRocks: Independent site of finnish rock). Meanwhile the album was mixed in Sonic Pump studios by Jesse Vainio. Bleak's lead singer Caleb guested on the song Before I die, which is the B-side of the single "I know". The band has already started touring and will do a lot more dates when the Honey & Lime album comes out in April 2008. As the captain Leady Winyl would put it: "Please, be seated and fasten your seatbelts... the storm is brewing." The Winyls are already known as a charismatic and energetic live act. When you combine new fancy tunes, live mayhem, blood, sweat and tears into it - you just need to experince it! Read more on Last.fm.
