ZOE WHEELING’Z PROJECT is the psychedelic electro/fusion project of Virginie Scheerens, aka Chrysalid. Known among psystompers worldwide for her intense production as half of VICIOUS ALCHEMY, a collaborative project with Baba Jelly, Virginie is also CHRYSALID, the first label DJ of Trishula Records – known for creating night-time psychedelic stomping sets that spin dancing bodies to their physical limits with dark atmospheres and driving beats. Often using her own vocals to accentuate her sets, Chrysalid mixes the organic with the technological. Virginie is originally from Paris, and now living in Brittany. A trained jazz vocalist from the age of 17, Virginie also has played drums and bass guitar in past. Her influences range from jazz to hip hop, trip hop to electro – all coming together in Zoe Wheeling’z to produce electronic music that pairs the classical with the experimental in the quest for the psychedelic evolution of sound.
